Dara Quarterhorses is a family run stud with Frank Daraio and Jack Daraio being the driving forces behind the breeding of top class cutting horses. The stud began with the aquisition of the then 3 y.o stallion, Oaks Cocoa Jay ( Docs Freckles Oak X Shiloh Lena Horn). Soon afterwards an impressive group of quarterhorse mares was assembled. When these mares were mated to the highly successful cutting stallion, Oaks Cocoa Jay, they produced horses like Goondiwindi Futurity winner, Dara Cocoas Preview, the highly successful geldings Dara Allota Roc, Dara Still A Rockin, Dara Ima Gunna, Dara Boy Whatta Spin and the mares Dara Cocoas Remembrance and Dara Cocoas Image.
Youngsters at Dara Quarterhorses are sent away as older 2 y.o to the best trainers available and are then either sent into full term training or offered for sale to the best homes.
